Monitoring, changes, and notifications

What can RegressionRadar monitor?
RegressionRadar checks website URLs using HTTP-content probes or full-page Chromium screenshot probes. HTTP checks can also monitor API responses. It records measurements so you can follow availability and captured content over time.
What counts as a change?
A new streak starts when the HTTP status or content hash differs from the previous streak. A streak continues only when both match. A change can be expected, such as a content update, or something that needs investigation.
Which probe method should I choose?
Choose HTTP content when the response text or HTML matters. Choose a screenshot when you want to monitor the rendered appearance. Screenshots are compared by their exact bytes; there is no configurable visual tolerance.
Can I monitor just part of a page?
Yes, for HTTP-content monitors that return HTML. An optional CSS selector captures matched elements in document order. Leaving it blank checks the original response. Screenshot monitors capture the full page and do not support selectors.
Will dynamic pages produce lots of changes?
They can. Changing text, banners, animations, or other dynamic content may change the capture on each check. Use a stable target where possible, or a CSS selector for HTTP checks to focus on the HTML you care about.
How often are websites checked?
You choose the interval for each monitor. Checks run on a schedule rather than continuously. The application shows the last and next check, and you can disable a monitor to pause its scheduled measurements. Monthly credit limits apply.
How do notifications work?
Configure per-monitor notification rules for email or Microsoft Teams. Streak changes are evaluated against those rules and your remaining shared credits. The first-ever streak establishes a baseline and does not trigger a change notification. Delivery history is available in the application.
Are all historical captures available?
Not always. A measurement can record a content hash without storing the capture when it exceeds the configured storage limits. Measurement results can still be reviewed, but text diffs and screenshot comparisons depend on the relevant captures being available.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan has no obligations whatsoever and stays free forever. You can always use it within its shared monthly credit allowance, and upgrading to a paid plan is entirely optional.
Can I try a paid plan for free?
Yes. Upgrading from Free to a paid plan starts with a free trial period of 5 days. To continue with the paid plan after the trial, purchase a subscription extension from your subscription page. If you let the trial expire, your account returns to the Free plan, which you can always use within its monthly allowances. Compare the plans.
How are monthly limits counted?
HTTP checks consume 1 credit and screenshot checks consume 5 credits, including failures. Each successfully sent notification consumes 1 credit. Failed or skipped notifications consume none. These share one monthly allowance across your monitors, resetting each calendar month (UTC). Your account shows your remaining credits and combined forecast.
How do I get started?
Create an account, add a web monitor, choose the probe method and interval, and enable it. Once results are recorded, you can review its history and add notification rules. Read the setup walkthrough for more detail.
